The artist
Paintings built slowly, in layers.
Soheil Torabnejad is an Iranian artist, born in 1985, who studied carpet design at university. That training in pattern, colour and traditional craft still runs through the paintings, the sculptures and the patina work made in his studio.
Since 2023 he has lived and worked in Klagenfurt, Austria. Each canvas is built in layers — drawing, underpainting, texture, finish — and leaves the studio documented, signed and ready to hang.
